Pediatric Vision Care

Did you know that in addition to having common vision problems, kids are at risk of many of the same eye diseases as adults? Early detection and treatment gives kids the best chance for good vision. Make eye exams a routine part of your entire family’s medical care. Be sure to find an optometrist who specializes in pediatric care.

Low Vision Therapy

Low vision is a general term for significant loss of vision that cannot be corrected with eyeglasses or treatments. It is often disease related and presents many challenges. Vision Source doctors and therapists can partner with you to maximize limited vision and cope with the challenges of this change. They will provide support and guidance on adaptive tools and techniques.

Orthokeratology, or corneal refractive therapy, is a non-surgical procedure using specially designed contact lenses to gently reshape the eye to improve vision. It is just one of several treatment options for astigmatism, an imperfection in the eye shape that causes blurred vision.

LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure to reshape the cornea and restore vision. Patients who are nearsighted, farsighted or astigmatic may benefit from this type of procedure. Like any surgery, this procedure carries risks and not everyone is a good candidate. Work with your Vision Source doctor to find out if LASIK is right for you.
